Manufacturers

There are a number of caravan and motorhome manufacturers, not all of them recognise the AWS scheme. This means that to retain the warranty some manufacturers dictate that the vehicle has to go back to the dealership. Here is a list of manufacturers that do allow AWS engineers to service their vans.

• Elddis (Erwin Hymer Group UK Ltd)*
• Hobby
• Lunar (Ceased Trading)
• Roller Team

*Erwin Hymer Group bought Elddis and only the brands that were formerly covered under Elddis Group: Elddis, Compass, Xplore and Buccaneer are recognised for the AWS scheme.

There are a number of other manufacturers but some are brands under the main brand, for example Eccles is a brand made by Swift and Sunlight is a joint venture between Dethlefs and Hymer. Knaus doesn’t recognise the AWS scheme but because we are also an MCEA member we are allowed to do the servicing which will preserve the warranty on these vehicles. Please be aware Knaus insist on a leakage kit as part of the service and this is an extra cost.

We as an AWS registered member can service any caravan and motorhome if the customer wants us to, it’s the customers responsibility to be happy that in doing so might invalidate their warranty.
